The Bucket List: Africa

If we have taken anything from the Covid pandemic, it should be the ability to live life how we want to.

The Bucket List is where I will be highlighting a great opportunity to visit a specific destination or holiday experience, which may gain a tick off your personal wishlist.

Perhaps the incredible city of New York or interacting with the elephants in Thailand? Taking the kids to Lapland to meet the bearded guy or a night under the Northern Lights in your own glass-roofed igloo?

Now is the time to consider doing it. Take advantage of some phenomenal prices and flexible booking terms put in place to get the world travelling again.

I would be delighted to receive your suggestions for future bucket list ideas.

Africa is a continent that offers opportunities for multiple ticks from your lists.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Located on the Zambezi river on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, it is one of the world's largest waterfalls and is called Mosi-oa-Tunya by the locals, which means "smoke that thunders". One of the most incredible ways to experience its magnificence is by helicopter.

Beaches

Zanzibar beach

Mauritius and Seychelles are renowned Indian Ocean havens, but Madagascar and Mozambique both have great beaches, and Tanzania has some picture-perfect beach options that are easy to tack onto a safari trip, including the stunning Zanzibar Archipelago that include islands like Pemba, a playground for diving, snorkelling, windsurfing and kayaking.

Safari

Africa is of course the home of safari. From the endless plains of Tanzania's Serengeti to the hidden waterways of Botswana's Okavango or the dream destination of South Africa, where you can combine your wildlife adventure with a city break or a beach escape.

The ‘Big Five’ - lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino - top most wish lists, along with the equally iconic giraffes, zebras and hippos and a whole heap of fascinating reptiles, insects and birds.

Wherever you choose to head, the abundance and variety of wildlife, along with the sheer grandeur of the African backdrop, is mesmerising.

Kenya

Kenya is one of the special destinations where you can experience spectacular safaris, dense forests, tranquil beaches and rich local culture all in one holiday.

Soaring high above the plains of the Masai Mara to witness the majestic wilderness migration in a hot air balloon is one of those unforgettable life experiences and I highly recommend placing the wonderful Giraffe Manor towards the top of your list of things to do, for a unique way to compliment a Kenyan adventure.

Combine them all with something massive to look forward to with this fantastic offer I am booking now for such a Kenyan adventure in November 2022.
