Ruth’s Blog: The Cape House Hotel - a hidden gem in Bangkok

As someone who has spent considerable time visiting Thailand, I'm always on the lookout for standout places to recommend to my clients.

Bangkok has a constant influx of unique properties, and during my recent Thailand trip, I had the chance to visit and review some exceptional spots that I’m thrilled to add to my personal portfolio.

The Cape House Hotel is situated in the heart of the city and offers easy access to some of Bangkok’s most popular shopping malls, restaurants and entertainment. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the BTS Skytrain, making it easy to reach every corner of this bustling metropolis.

The Cape House feels like a true “home away from home", particularly for those planning a longer stay. Offering serviced apartments complete with full hotel facilities, it’s perfect for families. I love that each apartment has a kitchenette, and the rooms are spacious, with both a separate shower and bathtub.

If you’re travelling in a group, you’ll appreciate that they also guarantee adjoining rooms at booking (subject to availability). Oh, and here’s a charming touch: each room includes a complimentary teddy bear to keep as a souvenir. 😊

During my stay, I had the pleasure of dining at No. 43 Italian Bistro, Cape House’s own restaurant offering an impressive mix of Italian and Thai dishes. For anyone looking to relax, there’s also a rooftop pool and hot tub with stunning views over the city, plus a well-equipped gym, steam room and sauna.

One of my favourite perks was the complimentary executive lounge, where guests can enjoy snacks and coffee throughout the day - a great amenity, especially if you have a late flight and need a place to unwind before heading to the airport.

With the BTS Skytrain only a 10-minute walk away, it’s incredibly convenient to travel around the city (I use it all the time - it’s clean, air-conditioned, affordable and super reliable).

The Cape House Hotel is one of Bangkok’s standout options for anyone seeking a blend of convenience, comfort and a touch of home.

Please get in touch if you're interested in learning more about this property or any other Thai accommodation I've recently reviewed. I’ll also be sharing insights from my latest finds along with some special guests at an exclusive client event on 20 November.
